History of Willa Wincent

  1. The beginnings 1929

The Wincent building was created on the initiative of Maria Kozierowska at the corner of the former Boczna and Leśna streets. From the very start it was part of Gdynia's history – built in 1929, three years after Gdynia was granted city rights. Before the war it was called 'Willa Leśna'. Throughout its turbulent history it changed hands, serving various functions. (It welcomed guests only in its first years of existence.)

  2. Transformation 2015

In 2015, three young residents of Gdynia bought the run-down property with a vision of restoring it to its former glory. They were captivated by its beautiful form,
perfect location and place in the city's history.

  3. Revitalisation 2020

The building's new design was handled by the team of architects Maciej Ryniewicz, Rafał Kaletowski and Krzysztof Kaletowski, responsible for the trendiest venues in the Tri-City: Śródmieście, Haos, Fedde, Serio.

  4. Now 2026

As we open a new chapter in Wincent's history, we want to restore its former glory,
using contemporary solutions and philosophy. In this classic building we want to
promote a modern, personalised approach to each of our guests.

We make sure they can rest in a secluded place while having all the attractions and entertainment of the Tri-City within reach (especially those unknown to the wider public). We want to show them our city and the seaside way of life.
